Eyeliner Tattoo and Lash Lift

October 22, 2022

Now that you know all about eyeliner tattoo. Do you know everything about Lash Lift? Or more importantly, how does Lash Lift and eyeliner tattoo compliment each other? Women have been perming their eyelashes for decades, unfortunately there is no specific date that is known exactly. Or at least I am not sure, feel free to drop me a message if you know the Lash Lift or Lash perm history in detail. Like with Permanent makeup, there are some things you need to consider before booking your Lash Lift appointment, so read all about it here.

What is Lash Lift?

A certified Lash Lift technician "curls" your eyelashes with a special type of perming solution. It's not dissimilar to the one used to perm your hair. Curled eyelashes open up the eyes, and in some cases, your lashes may appear longer and fuller. An eyelash curler, such as the Shiseido eyelash curler, can be used to curl our eyelashes by ourselves. Some women are fortunate enough to have naturally curly eyelashes, so all they need to do is apply mascara. Some women have straight eyelashes, and Lash Lift can make a significant difference for them. Because eyelashes regenerate every 60-90 days, this is the expected average time for your Lash Lift to last.

Eyelash tint and Lash Lift

If you wear mascara every day, I highly recommend getting your eyelashes tinted as well. Especially if, like me, you have very white eyelashes. If you have a history of allergies, tell your technician ahead of time. Because the eye area is so delicate, you must ensure that the tint does not cause an allergic reaction.

Lash Lift for men

Absolutely, men can have their lashes lifted. If a less curly lash lift is desired, the technician can use a larger roll so the shape will be less “curled”.

Lash Lift vs Lash extensions

Lash extensions and lash lifts are not the same thing. Lash extensions are a type of treatment in which false eyelashes are applied on top of your natural ones, whereas a lash lift is when your own eyelashes are curled.

Lash Lift and eyeliner tattoo

The perfect treatment to frame and enhance your eyes is an eyeliner tattoo. I am a strong supporter of that treatment and have undergone it myself. I go every 12 months for a touch up, and the difference it makes in my eyes is incredible. When it comes to getting a Lash Lift, your eyes will look beautifully framed and enhanced, so you won't need any mascara or eye makeup unless you want to, especially if your lashes are tinted. It is extremely useful and saves a great deal of time. It's ideal for vacations or if you don't want to wear makeup because you work out a lot. Consider the following scenario: you're at the beach on a hot summer day. You can swim in the ocean and still look fresh without mascara running down your cheeks because your eyes are framed. That scenario has my approval!

This is a photo of me getting my Lash Lift. My eyeliner tattoo had faded to the point where it could no longer be seen. The pigment appears to pop out with the Lash lift and eyelash tint. Even if you don't use Lash Lift, your eyeliner tattoo will look sharper after getting your lashes tinted. In the after photo my skin has been smoothed and brightened up a little bit. My eyebrows were also tinted.

We do not recommend having eyeliner tattoo treatment until 4-6 weeks after your Lash Lift treatment. Your eyelashes might be more prone to break.

Does Lash Lift work for everyone?

Unfortunately, not everyone is a candidate for a Lash Lift. It is not recommended to undergo the treatment if you have very sensitive eyes, your eyelashes are very short or break easily, or if your eyelashes have been damaged by other types of treatments. Before getting a treatment, always talk to the technician who will be performing it. Also, let your technician know if you're using Rapid Lash.

Getting an eyeliner tattoo and then keeping it fresh with eyelash tinting is a great way to look fresh every day without doing your eye makeup. Highly recommend it! Just make sure to do your research and go to a salon that has good reviews and are experienced in this type of treatment.
